Creativity is an unavoidable necessity for all fields of study and industry, and it is important for all of us to recognize its high value in the whole society based on knowledge. This year, EMSI Group and OFEED organize the International Salon IWA 2020, the Innovation Week in Africa which will be held in Rabat – Morocco.
This salon and competition provides extraordinary opportunities for students, inventors, innovators and researchers to express their creativity and innovative capacity to invent with their own innovative ideas, recognizing the vital importance of global innovation And to encourage the inventors’ initiative to continue to invent.
Event Title: International Salon IWA 2020 “Innovation Week in Africa”
The event benefit from many important partners in Morocco, including scientific and entrepreneurial institutions from engineering schools, universities and many high ranked Government authorities in Morocco.
Moreover, many VIP and famous scientists are expected to attend the event as well, including formal Presidents of some African countries and Ministers from Morocco and Africa.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
STEP 1: Pay the participation fees (online or by wire transfer)
STEP 2: Complete the online participation form (a copy of participation form is necessary for each invention). You can request it by email to: contact[at]ofeed.ma
• The organizer will respond back to you with a reply to confirm your submission and guide for next registration procedures
• The projects selection will be based on the answers in the application form
We highly acknowledge the fact that it is quite difficult for overseas individual/group applicants to join the competition on site in person. Thus, we provide a convenient way to participate that can allow you to join IWA 2020 from home!
Indeed, awarded participants who are not able to attend the award ceremony will receive their awards by post mail.

4. EVALUATION STANDARDS OF THE INVENTIONS
A. Evaluation method: the evaluation depends on the presentation of the inventions and the information provided by the inventor in the participation form.
B. Evaluation Criteria: The most important part of the score is determined by the “main idea” of invention. However, creativity, potential for technological advancement, practical feasibility and the marketability of the invention will also be assessed to constitute the overall mark.
5. EVALUATION CONDITIONS
Ideas copied on projects that already exist will automatically be disqualified from the competition
• Organizers medals (Gold, Silver, Bronze and Special Awards)
• Organizers trophies (Grand prize, Semi Grand prize)
• International partners Special Awards
A. Gold, Silver and bronze medals are issued on the basis of the assessment of the overall rating
B. Prizes are presented in the form of diplomas, medals, plaques or trophies according to the prize classification
C. Other prizes not mentioned in this guide may also be issued.
PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEES
1. PAYMENT METHOD
The total of participation fees should be sent online or by wire transfer.
2. REGISTRATION FEES AND OTHER RATES
Registration fees includes the entry registration fee for each invention and the exhibit station facilities. Also, additional fees may apply for other options:
• TV screen rental: US$ 200
• Additional Medal: US$50 (Optional for winners only)
• Postage fees: US$90 (Optional for participants from distance / winners only)
• Overall size is 2m x 2m (Length x Width)
• Free table and chair included
• Fascia board with name of organization and country of origin
• Pre-print Poster, 0.8m x 1m (Width x Height). Participant will have to design his own poster and send it using the online registration form during submission.
Booth setup will start on 8th September 2020. Tear down will start on 12th September 2020.
